Automotive Air Conditioning

Automotive Air Conditioning installation & Repair workshop program is designed as occupational program with all practical and hands on training environment for our graduates to make them a specialized technician. Our participants can expect hands-on session and learn all the ins and outs of air conditioning in various types of automobiles.

Prerequisites: –

Can access computer system and make use of internet to perform search over Google.

Need to Prepare?

Basic Knowledge of Mechanics and its associated system will be appreciated.

Tools Expected: –

Windows OS based PC, Smart phone with Internet, Notebook and Pen

Tools Provided (for the session): –

Reference Materials, PPTs, Study Elements and Software required.

Concepts: –

Automotive technology, Electrical theory, Auto heating systems, Temperature Balance, Controls and Troubleshooting Techniques

Summary: –

This workshop will be addressed about automotive technology as well as training in automotive air conditioning and heating systems.

Day 1

Session 1- (03:30 hrs)

  • Introduction
  • Training outline
  • Full pressure and temperature analysis of the system
  • Reading and analysing gauges correctly (both pressure and temp).
  • Basic fault diagnosis of systems
  • Full servicing procedures
  • Servicing equipment, recommendations and guidelines
  • Critical charging of system
  • Analysis charge rates by pressure/temperature analysis and pipe feel

 

Session 2- (02:30 hrs)

  • Detailed operation of the cycling clutch thermostatic expansion valve
  • Detailed operation of the expansion/orifice tube systems
  • Mechanical variable displacement compressor systems
  • Full diagnosis of all three systems including faults, charge analysis, & performance
  • Special attention for the analysis of compressor
