Staad Pro

STAAD implies Structural Analysis And Design. STAAD. Pro is a software tool used widely to analyze and design structures buildings, bridges, towers, transportation, industrial and utility structures. Design can involve building structures including culverts, petrochemical plants, tunnels, bridges, piles; and building materials like steel, concrete, timber, aluminum, and cold-formed steel. Participants will be addressed with all aspects of structural engineering including model development, verification, analysis, design and review of results. This workshop deals in hands on session representing real-world structural design scenarios.

Prerequisites:-

Can access computer system and make use of internet to perform search over Google.

Need to Prepare?

Basic Concepts of Civil Engineering.

Tools Expected:-

Windows OS based PC, Smart phone with Internet, Notebook and Pen

Tools provided (for the session):-

Required Software tools, Staad Pro Software Reference materials, PPTs, Sample projects

Concepts:-

Structural Analysis, Pre and Post Processing, Modelling Issues, Static & Dynamic loading, Reinforced Concrete & Steel etc.

Summary:-

This workshop will address about structure modelling, analysis, design and documentation as well as offers hands-on exercises representing real-world structural designs.

  • Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures
  • Simply Supported Beam with Full Lateral Restraint
  • Simply Supported Beam with Lateral Restraint at Point Loads
  • Simply Supported Beam without Intermediate Restraints
  • Column with Pinned Ends and Intermediate Support
